Kick up some dust and start the summer off right at the 57th Annual Sawdust Arts and Craft Festival. Just a hop, skip and a jump away from Newport Coast homes, this is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a summer afternoon or evening. The festival kicks off on June 30th. And, because it runs through September 3rd there’s plenty of time for multiple visits.

 

Enjoy some lunch and live music, take an art class, and support local artists by purchasing a hand-crafted treasure or two. Grandparents love to pass on the tradition of the Sawdust Festival, sharing the magic with their grandkids and encouraging a love for art, whimsy, and merriment. The whole family is welcome as it’s a great place for family fun. Couples of all ages find that it’s also the perfect place for date night and some one-on-one time.

 

Artists are on hand to share their stories and discuss the creative process behind their works. Three entertainment stages host a variety of performances. Live music is in the house and caters to everyone’s tastes. There’s also plenty of entertainment in the aisles with roaming balloon artists, acoustic guitar players, magicians, mimes, and more. Demonstrations demand attention and create new interests. The glassblowing exhibit is a traditional favorite. Other fan favorites include painting techniques, jewelry making, and pottery. Guests can even indulge in an impromptu art class offered in three locations daily.

 

Hungry appetites are served satisfactorily from half a dozen outdoor eateries. From Mexican food to Mediterranean, options are seemingly limitless and portions will please everyone coming from Newport Coast homes. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday this is the Orange County real estate spot to get a little artsy.
